Since the third grade, I have been entranced by art. Starting with simple childhood drawings, through high school painting classes, and eventually three years of study at New York's Art Students League, I determined to become a working artist. I have been able to achieve a significant degree of success in the work I have done since leaving the Art Students League in 1984. That is, when I have been able to focus on painting.

Between 1988 and 2000, I devoted a great deal of time and energy to a position, unrelated to painting, at a major financial institution in the New York area. During this period, my painting took a back seat.

Over the past two years I have resolved to resume my painting career in earnest, and I am in the middle of a new series of paintings that I hope will prove interesting.
